Bangladesh Cultural Organization

Line organization for the Bangladeshi Community in Trondheim, Norway.

This is a Bangladeshi community group in Trondheim, Norway. 


Democratic, non-political, non-profitable, welfare and cultural organization, which was formed by Bangladeshi students and their family members living in Trondheim, Norway. It is the only Bangladeshi association in Trondheim. BCO (Bangladesh Cultural Organization) has been established in 1998. The constitution of the organization and the legal registration has been obtained in 1998-99. This organization aims to explore the activities of the organization for all concerns and also to provide some helpful information for the Bangladeshi students who are in the process of arriving in Trondheim after being admitted to NTNU.


Principles

1. Every member of the organization will have equal rights and responsibilities.

2. No one can be compelled for membership.


Aims & Objectives

1. To promote friendship among all members of the organization including their family members.

2. To promote cultural activities.

3. To promote friendship with Norway and other nations.


Activities

1. To arrange social gathering.

2. To arrange picnic party.

3. To observe important national days.

4. To provide co-operation to new fellows coming to Trondheim.

5. To arrange cultural programs.

6. To arrange welcome and farewell party for the fellows.

7. To participate in Norwegian national social and cultural programs in Trondheim.


Membership

1. All Bangladeshi origin living in Trondheim, temporary or permanent, including their family members is illegible to become a member of BCO.

2. Members will be activated by member’s fee and filling a BCO membership form.

3. A member who will stay less than six months in Trondheim can pay 50% of the annual fee.

4. Members are free to withdraw their membership. If there is responsibility lying with him/her, he/she should hand over the charge within seven days. Membership fees will not be returned.

5. Dependents of a member under 18 years old have free access to all BCO programs but not in any organizational process.

6. Any member of the organization can be warned or expelled for a complaint of harmful activities.
